I'm trying to use hardware for stereo/2 bus mixing for the first time. I'm trying to just use EQ on only guitar tracks. So far I've created a new stereo track with the proper stereo input selected. I was under the impression I had to create a new bus with Pipeline Stereo, then send the main output to the main bus, mix with my hardware to my liking, then record on the stereo track. However, there is no "sends" on the main output, only "post" to add post effects. I also tried just adding Pipeline stereo to the guitar bus but when I tried that all the plug-ins on the bus were inaudible so I couldn't mix with the plug-ins I had already had on the guitar bus.

I'm already successfully using Pipeline mono with a mic pre for individual tracks, however the same concept for 2 bus processing has got me stumped.

Hi.

Your question is a little confusing.

For you to have your Hardware EQ on your Master Bus for Stereo 2-Bus mixing you simply add a stereo pipeline to the Master channel on its Insert slot. Your interfaces physical Outputs to the EQ Inputs as the Send and the the EQ outputs to the interface physical Inputs as your Return.

Et Viola.

Hi again.

I have also tried recording a Stereo Audio track with the Pipeline hardware Inserted on its Insert slot but no joy.

So I see your problem as you want to track your guitars with your EQ inserted on the Record channel.

Presonus need to have some form of Aux tracks which can monitor its own Insert slots I guess.
