When you automate a parameter on a presonus plugin, a dot displays this parameter having been automated, and right clicking on it, will provide a link to show the automation in the arrange window. Please, could you provide the same functionality for third party plugins as pro tools does?

Thank you for the feature request.

If anyone else agrees or disagrees, then please vote it up, or down.

To vote:

In agreement click on the little blue triangle pointing up.

In disagreement click on the little blue triangle pointing down.

The developers pay close attention to those that are voted on the most.

You are allowed one vote.

Just viewing and agreeing but not clicking on the vote does not help the issue.

Please click on one or the other.

Is this a matter of being able to automate third party plugins? Or a matter of ease of use? I'm not sure I understand your request.

I was able to automate third party plugins, though the process was a bit different from Pro Tools. It was extra hard to figure out how to automate an insert, for example, automating an EQ on a virtual instrument track. but I figured it out:

- Press the Automate button (or press A on your keyboard)
- On the track you want to automate, click the dropdown arrow to the right of Display: Off, then click Add / Remove...
- On the right side of the Automation window that just popped up, expand the Audio folder, and then the Inserts folder
- From here, you can select which parameter from a plugin you want to automate. I did it with H-EQ, by Waves.

thanks  lukemccready,

but that was not really what I meant.

I will rephrase it. When you automate a stock plugin, let's say the feedback of the delay, a dot gets creates on the feedback wheel (this dot shows that the parameter has been automated). Now by right clicking on the feedback there is a link that guide you to the arrangement window to show you the automation curve. Very comfortable. This function is actually not available for third party plugin at the moment.

I referred to protools just to say that there there is a similar function, but also available for third party plugs.

That it impossible because Studio One can not draw in 3rd party plugins outside of the company. That is why it works with S1 own plugins. And Pro Tools on the other hand has it's very own plugin format. So also in pro tools it woun't work with VST plugins.

Ari - Truth is that not only is not impossible, but it is indeed already implemented for the most of third party plugins. Unfortunately not for the UAD where there might be a technical problem. I cannot tell, can only the request to verify it.
