After receiving the UC Surface update and seeing the previews of the new layout, I was really excited to see the EQ and compressor dropdown menus, the ability to put the EQ before the compressor, and the key filter on the compressor. I was SO bummed to find out that it was only for UC Surface controlling Studiolive III series.
I knew the limitations when I bought the RM16AI, but I was very hopeful that it would be expandable and that it would only be a matter of time before these kinds of features could be integrated for a software-based system.
It seems Presonus only intends for these features to be exclusive to the III series, but I really hope this can be reevaluated.
I've been using the RM16AI for our weekly church services for about 7 months now and I'm a fan, but I've greatly anticipated a new FAT channel with more control.
I get that the new features are the selling point of the new generation of consoles, but I feel that Presonus could make a compromise by selling a firmware update for a reasonable price that upgrades an RM mixer to function closer to the III series. An option like that wouldn't completely leave existing customers and budget-minded people hanging or having to spend more money after just investing in second generation hardware.
That would make everyone happy! Please consider!

Thanks, Presonus!
