Tenuto and staccato marks should be above or below ball of note, not the stem. I have never read music where tenuto and staccato marks are above the stem when the stem is going up but that's where Notion puts them. It's particularly disturbing when I have a score that is in part music I imported where the tenuto and stems are above and below the ball and then the ones I add to new notes are not.  At least give users a choice as to where they want them.

Agreed! Even stranger is that sometimes it is over the ball, sometimes over the stem (sometimes with the same bar) without any rhyme or reason that I can discern - and this does not seem to be alterable/controllable. My musicians won't see them if they are over the stem...

Is there a preference setting somewhere we are unaware of?

I'm surprised this has not been commented on more than this single post that I could find - 7 years ago :-( This is kind of a big deal.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
