I love the Central Station Plus - but is there a way to disable the "dim" while using talkback?

I find it very distracting, as do some of the artists I am recording.

No.

This is an intended feature of the device to ensure that talkback is always on top of your Cue Audio. Otherwise, there would be no point to using the Talkback if your playback is always louder. No one would hear it and most likely complain about how the Talkback mic isn't loud enough.
