I am totally new to the SL series 3 and looking into purchasing a SL16 Console and expand it with a SL16 rack unit. In this way I have 32-channels as input and still benefit of the small space it occupies. My questions:

  • Can Fat Channel also be applied to channels 17-32 (in fact the rack unit)
  • The onboard SD-card recording option, is that extened to 32 channels as well
  • Can the Fat Channel settings of these channels (17-32) also saved in a scene

Yes, you can access the fat channel for the rack either through the console or Universal Control. With digital patching, you can pretty much route any to channel to any fader on the console.

Yes, you can record all 32 channels on the console if all 32 are routed to the console.

Yes, everything should get saved in the scene file.
