Question

Several songs, but not all of them, have no sound when played back.  2 weeks ago, these same songs played back fine.  I've obviously done something I am unaware of and I have no clue how to resolve this.

I've had this happen.  It's always an issue with my audio interface.  I use the MOTU Micro book.  I find that I sometimes have to safely unplug the device from the usb port, replug it in and then open studio 1 again.  If I start my computer with the motu device plugged in, it doesn't always seem to get recognized.
