I just bought my 16.0.2...and yes I know I'm way late to the party. But it's my 1st digital board, and I have questions.
When setting the gain, I'm at about 1 o'clock and metering about C or one light above. The manual just says "a little more than 1/2 the led's" should be lit. Well what dB is that? The local soundmen who use the bigger PreSonus boards suggest that I be around -15dB or -12dB. Is there a way to meter that on here?
To get it up to the -6 mark above C, I almost have to go to 3 o'clock on the trim knob. Is that TOO much, or is there such a thing. Should I get more output from the instrument before the board?
