I have a Yamaha AW16G that I was told could connect to the Presonus 1818VSL via firewire by sales at Guitar Center. From reading the instructions for the Yamaha, the Audiobox, and Studio One it does appear to be true that I should be able to connect. But I can't get the devices to recognize at all. I'm wondering if there is a driver I need to install. I also can't get the Yamaha to be recognized via MIDI either, however I am able to get my keyboard on just fine. The yamaha manual says it uses optical with the "IEC958 consumer format". Will this work with the audiobox?

Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately just found this, looks like a no go. From Yamaha support site: "NOTE: AW16G optical inputs and outputs will not communicate with any 8 track ADAT optical port . The AW16G optical output is of the 2 channel TOSLINK type. This is incompatible with ADAT optical which is 8 channels."
