I do not have any anti-virus running, i can monitor, just not record.

Open the Studio One menu.  Go to Options, then Song Setup

(or just hold down Cntl and press the period key on your keyboard)

Click on the Inputs tab.

Do you have anything defined?

If not, press the Add (Mono) and/or Add (Stereo) depending upon which way you want to record your source material.
