How do I change the song length from 5 minutes to 60 minutes? I want to start recording my PodCast show with my Presonus studio one software. Most shows will be between 30 & 60 minutes long with 5 to 8 tracks. Then I want to mix down either Wav or MP3 file. When I try this now the cut off time limit is 5 minutes. So how do I change that? Can I do it after I have recorded a show which I have 1 episode recorded or must I make the length before I start? Help

In the first picture I circled the "start" flag.

Scroll way over with the arrow I circled near the bottom right of the screen (or however else) until you get to the "end" flag I circled in the second picture.

Move the "end" flag to however far you want. Maybe you can right click it and manually enter in how many minutes away you want it. You can do this before or after you record...I think.

Hopefully that's the answer!

To add some more beyond what seancharrie provided, that End marker does not in any way limit the length of your recording.

So there's no need to be concerned about that.  You can completely ignore that marker if you wish.

Now the other part: you get to decide/guess how long you plan to record when you create a new Song.  It's one of the options (along with Song name, sample rate, location, etc.).

Hope this helps,

It isn't as intuitive as I would like but here the process I found today (Feb 21, 2024 -- Studio One Pro v6.5.1)

With the Song open:

From the Song dropdown select "Song Setup" [default keyboard shortcut <ctl+.>

In the Song Setup window, select the "General" tab.

This should show boxes for "Song Start" and "Song End" that are editable. Simply type in whatever number you want, click Apply, and OK.
