Firestudio Project -> Mac 6,1 Running Snow Leopard

Hi
I recently purchased a pre-owned Firestudio Project Unit and want to use it with a Mac 6,1 running OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard. I installed Universal Control v1.6 Mac and am assuming that these are the drivers for the 1394 interface however when I go into system preferences to Sound Input and do not see a selection for the Firewire input but only an option for internal microphone or line in. I would expect to be seeing a firewire input option.  Am I appropriately installing the correct drivers?

Also, is there a multitrack recording application I can download that is compatible with my mac?

Try checking your system profile to see if the Project is showing up under Firewire. If you're not sure how to open your system profile please see the link below:

If it does not appear then you may be dealing with a hardware malfunction.
