Is there a way to record a live instrument track and have studio one tell me the tempo I'm playing. it makes you set when creating a new track but i don't know what the tempo is that i'm naturally play so that i can set correctly or be able to set a metronome to my tempo

Well, you can use Melodyne analysis for that.

But why don't you record using a metronome ? Easiest way no ?

Agreed.  Melodyne is a good way, but not the only way to go about this.  There is a tap tempo feature on Studio One.  Mouse over the tempo and tap the left mouse button in time to your song.  Once that is done, hit the click (either render a metronome track or just have it click), have the new metronome value click as your guide.
