Hi,

I know this is a recurrent topic on here but I wanted to better understand whats happening. Like everyone when I listen to my mixdown on Windows (VLC, Audacity etc) with the same headphones, the mix is awful. I have reimported the mixdown into S1 and it sounds much better again in S1.

I noticed that if I uncheck the box "exclusive mode" in the audio device settings, the S1 in-project sound becomes as ****** as the mixdown sound. Can someone help me understand whats going on ? Is there a way to reproduce whatever particular EQ applied by S1 outside S1 ?

Thanks a lot

I hardly guess, S1 is not applying any EQ on your Playback. I guess that there must be some fault in the file format you are exporting your mixdown. Which format you usually export? kHz? Bitrate?

Try first to export your mix in wav. 16bit 44,1

Then try it in mp3 320 44,1

Do those files sound the same in VLC?
