Are the front panels of the StudioLive 16R and the NSB16.8 made from Steel or from Aluminium?

e.g. is it possible to apply magnetig label Strips for different setups on them or is there another simple solution to make fast exchangeable channel descriptions on them?

I'm not sure of the exact metals but I just tried a standard magnet on both. It worked well on the NSB but it didn't work at all on the 16R. You may be able to apply an adhesive backed steel strip to the 16R in order to get the magnet to hold better, but honestly there's not as much room for labels on the 16R as there is on the NSB.
