I have a 5 room studio, including the control room with 16 channels total from all 4 rooms.  Currently, all 4 rooms are running directly into the SL32S.  I have a 4 bay patch bay that is not being utilized currently.  Here's a pic of the patch bay:

I'm not quite clear how I would integrate this patch bay into the SL32S.

I would potentially like to add in some mic pres.  But I would also like to add some eq's, compressors, gates, reverb, etc for mixing and mastering.

If I'm already using 16 XLR ins on the back of the SL32S, how does one go about integrating this patch bay in terms of wiring it in?

Do I go from the rooms to the patch bay and then to 32S? If that's the case, how would I be able to integrate the outboard gear for mixing and mastering?  It seems like I would need to loop out of the 32s, through the patchbay, and back into the 32S, to grab the outboard gear for mixing.  I don't feel like there are enough inputs and outputs on the back of the 32S to be able to do that.

I was reading up on the motu audio interface that can connect via AVB, and that seemed like it might be an option?  Or perhaps a presonus stage box? I'm open to adding gear, just need to know the best way to do it.

Thanks in advance.
