It would be fantastic if the NSB products could be used In-Studio as a digital patch bay.  This would allow for simple setup and eliminate the need for a separate analogue patch bay system for 'In-Studio' usage.

Essentially the goal would be, to use the preamps on an NSB 16.8 connected to a Studiolive Series III 16 channel Mixer via ethernet for multi-track recording in a Digital/Project Studio Setting,

The inputs seem to be accessible through Capture and Universal Control, but it doesn't appear possible directly within Studio One.

The NSB stageboxes are no self-standing AVB network devices. It always needs a mixer (console or rack mixer) to control them, which is more a "managing" of network signals (Analog, USB, AVB). Studio One is able to see the complete input section, so when a signal comes in through a NSB stagebox, it is patched to USB and AVB input and output streams and can be routed "anywhere". If you want to record this signal in track 1, just do the appropriate patching and control Gain via Studio One.
