Question

Hi, I started using Studio 5 pro on an older Mac Boook this year. Recently this happens a lot: a track (always comp tracks with multiple layers) randomly mutes in certain areas, then unmutes again. When I repeat, they always mute in the exact same areas until I randomly push some solo buttons (either solo different layers or completely different tracks). Suddenly the track plays again without muting. It's definitely not an automation thing and the muted area is not determined by any cut or comping.

Does anyone have as guess what's happening here? Thanks

I have the same thing here on my Windows 10 PC, also with comp tracks. I've recognized that at the same time that the hardddrive load indicator increases. Tested the same song in S1 V4.6 which works fine and than in 5.0.2 I have the same behaviour. The system runs with SSDs, system check says that the SSDs are okay and I can't find any problem on the system side.

Im not sure of the cause, I checked all the automation and envekopes to see if I had inadvertly changed a setting, but all was in order. I closed the song without saving any changes. Then exited Studio One and restarted my PC. Problem solved. I have no idea what was causing this or why Shutting down cured the problem only that it did. Good luck.
