want ideas about the best way to quantize or bend a live song so it fits the song bpm so I can add midi notes on the snap-to-grid lined up with the song beats?  I don't have Melodyne Studio, just Assistant.

First I get an appx bpm, stretch to track and it usually is good for abt 8 -12 bars or so, then starts to stray, or the musician slows down going into a bridge or chorus.  I want thinking about using audio bend about every 4 bars and adjust that end bend line to line up with the beat... that way I can go thru the song in a reasonable time.

just seems like live songs vary in the beat matching the bpm grid and I have several that I want to quantize to add midi instruments and match the beats.

Have a look at this video.  It may or may not help you.  . #### It's not how I would do it.  But I use Melodyne Editor for tempo mapping.  The Markus Huyskens video helps with simple stuff like the demo.  But a proper tempo map of a live recording, I personally use Melodyne.    ## I would be careful about quantizing an entire live recording so you can add electronic elements.  You risk destroying the natural ebb and flow of the track created by the live performance.  If you are performing the parts (instead of programming them) just play to the band.  You already have the drums, I assume.
