Currently have a Studio 192 and wanted to know if a replacement piece of hardware will be released to replace the EoL DigiMax DP88 to expand the inputs on the 192 interface.

Thanks!

I am wondering the same thing. The Digimax DP88's are hard to find now, and are very pricy. It's a shame they discontinued it, it's even still touted on the Studio 192 product page.  I'm currently using an M-Audio Profire 2626 that pairs nicely, but doesn't give you the software control of the preamps like the DP88. The 2626 is hard to find too, but sounds pretty good and is much cheaper  ~$100.

I have the same problem as you.

I'm looking for an optical preamp to pair with my Studio 192 interface. The problem is that for obvious reasons it's not going to have the same functionality and connectivity as the Digimax DP88 would.

I've been buzzing about pairing it with Focusrite's Scarlett OctoPre for a while now, even though it's not exactly cheap.

What do you think?

And, folks at PreSonus, if you read this, bring the DP88 back to life or build an alternative, please!

Same! I just bought the Quantum 4848, and in the manual it suggests using the DigiMax DP88 for expansion. That's a little awkward, since they're discontinued. What say you, PreSonus? Can we get an ADAT expansion to provide line-level I/O, preferably on the back of a rack unit, so I can wire the connections to my patch bay? There's little point in offering that kind of expansion on your interfaces if there's no current means to use it.

Same question as the others!  I use the the DP88 to extend my Quantum. I like the way they work together and would really like to add more channels with the same connectivity as the DP88. Open to other suggestions, but would love to see Presonus produce something with similar traits and specs.

I have the same question.

Have been looking at buying one of the Quantum 2626 or 2632 interfaces and the DP88 is touted by Presonus as the way to expand them. But it's discontinued?

What's the story Presonus? Will there be a replacement or will they be re-continued? I saw that the Quantum 4848 was discontinued for a while but now seems to be on sale again? Very strange....
