There are many reasons why this can occur.  Here are a few to mention:

1.  Try using a different audio interface if possible and see if the problem can be isolated to a hardware device.  If so, try plugging the device into a different power source.  If you can isolate the issue to an audio device, visit the manufacturer's web site and download the latest driver.

2.  Try increasing the ASIO Buffer Size/Device Block Size for your audio interface.  If you are on a Windows machine, do this prior to opening Studio One.

3.  Make sure that you are not using a 5400 rpm hard drive.  You will want to use a 7200 rpm hard drive or faster.  SSD drives are recommended if possible.

4.  Some VST plug-ins create white noise when they are not activated.  Make sure that you have activated all of your plug-ins.

5.  Try using a different Mic and see if you can isolate the issue to a particular mic that might need to be serviced or replaced.  You might want to also check your cables.
