I see in the MIDI monitor the signals registering when i push play on studio one, and when i push play one the 8-track minidisk recorder yamaha MD8, however i can not get the two to sync. I have only 4 inputs into studio one and 8 outputs from the recorder, so i need to sync somehow; i am getting pretty good at hitting buttons at same time thou.

So do I need MMC and MTC, do I set in studio one the timecode as well as the MIDI clock and clock start?
I have two midi device, the MD8 and focusrite, do i need two?
All i need it to do is trigger the MD8 to start playing when i push record in studio one.
