I mean when I used to be on Logic X after mapping my midi keyboard you just needed to select the track where your AU/VST was loaded and you were still able to play with the knobs and it was still affected, on studio one, you need to switch on the plug-in all the time and I think S1 is so smart it has to get this function just to be on the track Where the VST / AU is load.
