The transform-to-audio feature of Studio One has some flaws compared to the way some other DAWs do its instrument freeze. Let me explain with an example: You use a VST Drum Instrument like EZ Drummer and you have activated multiple instrument outs. So you have a channel for the kick, one for the snare and so on. Now you want (maybe only temporary) transform thouse instrument out channels to audio. By doing this you get multiple new tracks that have them same fx and settings as the instrument out tracks they are derived from. The problem now is: As long as you don't check the option to remove the instrument its instrument out channels are still present and active (not playing though since the instrument is deactivated). I never need that. I have to hide them and deactivate the fx manually, so they get out of my way while I want to work with the transformed audio tracks. The DAWs I know of use the same channels for the transformed audio as for the instrument outs. Or at least they give me the impression that they do so. So the feature request is an option in the transform audio popup called something like "hide instrument out channels and deactivate its fx".

It even gets worse when you have split a MIDI track to one instrument track per note (as it may be useful especially for MIDI drums) and want to transform. What you want is this (example): Track one has only kick drum notes and it's transformed audio should only contain those kick notes. That new kick drum audio track should replace the kick drum instrument track. With Studio One this is not possible as far as I can tell. Even if you assign each of these instrument tracks to different instrument out channels, the transform option only considers the channels and creates new audio tracks for (each) instrument out instead of replacing the instrument tracks with audio that derives from only the notes in each now-to-transform instrument tracks.
