3 questions :

1. I have Notion 4 - Windows 7 - 64 bits.   If I update to Notion 5, do I have to uninstall completely Notion 4, then purchase and install Notion 5 instead ?  Or is there a kind of "update patch" I can purchase to switch from Notion 4 to Notion 5 ?

2. Are the VST instruments (basic package) different in Notion 4 and Notion 5 ?  Are there more instruments in Notion 5 ?  If so, which ones are added ?

3. I want to download Notion 4 (or 5) in a new profile I created on my computer, for my own use.  The reason being that I have too many music files and I want to clean things up in my computer.  I bought my original Notion 4 from Notion Music and downloaded the software only once.  Do you foresee any problem if I download Notion 4 (and VSTI) again ?

Thanks for your help !

Hi Christian,

1. no, you don't have to uninstall Notion4 if you don't want to. You do need to download the Notion5 sounds to go with Notion5 however.

2. In terms of bundled instruments, no, the instrument list is the same as Notion4 - however there are new add-on instrument packs for Notion5 that are not compatible for Notion4. Plus in terms of 3rd party VST support, we added preset support for LA Scoring Strings and Samplelogic/System Blue marching sounds.

3. With Notion4 you have 2 authorisations, so you should be ok. Notion 5 has 5 authorisations. Contact Tech Support if you get stuck and they can help you out. (Make a ticket via your account at my.presonus.com)
