A couple of days ago I disconnected my AudioBox iTwo from my computer and connected it back. Then all of a sudden the power light started to blink and all the other lights too. (The power light blinks 8 times and then all the other lights blink once.)

My computer is not in sleep mode or anything. It's turned off but the lights are still blinking. When I turn the computer on it starts working normally. It works just fine but the lights just blink when my computer is off.

Is this normal? It has never happened before? Is the unit damaged?

If it matters, I'm using a HP EliteBook 2560p laptop with Windows 7 64-bit. I have the AudioBox connected straight to my computer and not into my USB hub.

interesting that it wasn't a problem until recently.  This can sometimes indicate hardware failure, but... Windows Updates and driver updates can make any computer hardware function differently.  I've heard of this issue before.  It's a power distribution issue and computers are not equal in how this is done.  The AudioBox is powered thru USB.  Some computers do continue to supply power over USB even when the computer is shut down.

Honestly, using a powered USB hub that has ON/OFF switches for the ports is a very viable solution.  I use them myself.  Shut Down and flip the switch for your devices.  Works fine.
