Hi all, I'm using a studiolive 24.4.2 and would like to run an external effects processor (electrix mofx) that I can apply to any of the 24 channels via aux bus.I have read and connected the processor per the instructions on pages 150-151 of the manual, but I am not hearing any of the external effect at all. I would like to bypass the internal effects fx A and B if possible. If someone could walk me through this that would be great. I am using a mac pro OS 10.6.8, I am using Logic Pro. Everything is plugged in and routed correctly. I have all the firewire icons selected at the top of the mixer. I am using AUX 1 press the mix button and turn up the channels that I want to apply the external effect to. I hit mix again and turn up the first 7 rightmost levels all the way. Hitting mix a third time takes me back to the eq and dynamic sections. Not sure what I'm missing or why I cant hear any effects. Everything else works just fine, I use this for home recording all inputs/outputs are great. Thanks again.

If you don't want to use the internal effects, simply do not use them...! smiley For external effects you have to use auxes as "sends". And of course the processed signal has to come back into the board. "Aux Inputs" A+B are perfect for this.

The FX sends are always "post fade", but for the 10 aux sends you have 3 choices. Used as sends for effects they should be set on "post", which also means that the faders have to be used. Postfade aux sends follow the moving of the faders.

One more thing to consider is the volume knobs of aux sends (1-10) and aux returns (aux input A or B). Also have a look at the routing of the aux returns. Press "select" and choose subs or main. You can also SEND stereo signals to external effects. Simply link two auxes/aux sends. Returns are anyway stereo. It is possible to tweak pan on the returns.

Hope this gets you going.
