I am getting a hissing sound when using either DI on the ADL 600 with a variax guitar for recording. This makes it impossible to use any Amp simulating software because that only magnifies the sound coming out of the pre-amp. If it is tubes, is it possible both sides of the pre-amp and their tubes went bad simultaneously since the same sound is coming out of both inputs? Should this normally be dead quiet? The more I crank the gain the more unmanageable the sound gets. Please help. Thank you!!

Make sure the input on your audio interface which the ADL600 is plugged into is set hard left on the knob value so it is as low as possible. Adding any amount of gain on the audio input path of your interface will aggravate the noise level creating the situation you are describing.
