Hello,

I touched the bottom today of what can be done with notion.

This should not be limited to 4 output midi ports (A,B,C or D), 16 channels per Port is as a matter of fact not enough if you are doing orchestration mockups loading articulations instruments per channel. I would need lots lots more than this. My system have them, but notion by design cannot handle it.

OSX has unlimited midi ports and endless possibilities of routing, I dont get why in notion you have to assign the ports trough the prefferences panel as ports A,B, C, or D, and not directly in the staff settings...

Why not to just allow the user to select whatever port they want in their system directly from the staff settings? so all limitations go away.. so you can have as many ports as you have in the system, unlimited.

Right now I am getting crazy having to workaround this by multiplexing the midi inside Bidule.. which is a pain, and has many limitations. Please guys this change shoudn't be that hard to make, and would be just logical..

External Midi makes Notion very powerful... now we need port freedom, no boxes..

Please

Cheers!

I'd love to have this feature!
But at the moment mainly because ReWire doesn't work properly and the workaround, via LoopBe30, is limited to 64 MIDI channels.

(And is still, a workaround.)
