Windows 8 64 bit : Notion 6.0.409 : Within the "Check for updates" drop down menu option it indicates a new version is available but when I click yes to download and install nothing happens.

try signing directly into your my.presonus.com account, and downloading the latest build from there. If you still have issues, please create a tech support ticket via your my.presonus.com account, and we can help you further
