Why won't multiple takes record when recording a looped section of a track?

  • I'm using an HP Pavilion Laptop with the latest version of Windows (10.0.14393)
  • I just upgraded to Studio One 3 a week ago, so it is also the most current version.
  • My interface is a Presonus Audiobox USB.
When I try to record multiple takes with a loop engaged, the software does NOT save each take.  I believe it is supposed to automatically expand all "Layers" once the recording is stopped but only the most recent take shows up.
In the record panel, I have "Takes to Layers" and "Record takes" turned on.  Any ideas how to fix this?

Ensure that you have "Expand layers after recording takes" selected in the "Advanced" section of the options/preferences for Studio One under the "Editing" tab. If this is not selected you will have to manually expand the layers for the track after each take. You can do this by clicking on the small icon in the bottom left corner of the track channel that says "Expand Layers" when hovered over.
