Question

The original owner registered the unit but never used it.Dell Latitude E5410 laptop/Windows 10. We understand that the DAW can be loaded onto up to 5 computers - is this correct? This version is Studio One 2 Artist which makes it a few years old, I'm guessing.

You would either need the owner to install and activate the software from their my.presonus.com account in order to have the software on your computer or have the owner transfer the license for his copy of Studio One to your account. However, I would only recommend transferring the license if the original owner does not intend to keep the software.

I'd recommend ensuring that your system is up to the minimum system requirements for Studio One as well:
