Question

so when I plug my scarlett 2i2 into my macbook pro (sierra) i get through the entire setup fine until i go to song setup. I click add mono and the checklist of inputs doesn't come up with it. It is the same thing for studio, I can use the interface with different software so its not that. Im wondering if there is a window or something that im missing. Ive checked all over this forum and all the youtube videos and still nothing.

This is a known issue with the Scarlett device and Sierra.   Wrap the Scarlett into an aggregate device and you should be able to assign I/O. The Apple support article below describes how to create an aggregate device in OS X.
