Are ADAT Ins and Outs on Studio 192 pre or post converters?

I'd like to use Studio 192 as my main interface for Studio One, but also make use of my RME converters for some outboard gear. Would not like to hit the converters twice on my way in or out of the DAW.

I have searched all the media and can find NO block diagram or explanation for this question. I will try and see if I can get clarification tomorrow when the gangs all here, but I would like to know why this is important? I mean it's pretty typical audio device configuration... I have to assume its got > Mic input >preamp> line input > preamp (buffer) then it usually branches out to the buss, and the feeds. Devices at this level don't offer the I/O for different devices like those costing many thousands more... but with features...
