I see that this question has kind of been answered above, but it mentions the "legacy" StudioLive mixers...

Is it possible to daisychain (or cascade, if that's a more appropriate term) a Firestudio Project and either a StudioLive 16AI, any of the Series III mixers, or an RM16AI via firewire?

Can the Firestudio be slaved to the larger unit, then run via firewire to a DAW?

present setup: iMac, Studio One v3 Pro, Firestudio Project

The answer in the forum was correct. "Legacy" did not mean the ioriginal SL boards, but your FireStudio Project, which needs UC 1.7.4, while the RM can be controlled by the "latest & greatest" UC Surface. And again: Cascading RM mixers is only possible via AVB and you can not cascade a legacy product with an AI product. The SL series III boards have no FireWire at all, only AVB.
