Latency Compensation with a Summing Mixer

I am using Studio One 3,  and I have a 10 channel summing mixer hardware unit.  In certain situations I may only want to use this to run a group of instruments through,  but I have a question about how to bring this back into the session with sample accurate timing.  The normal suggested use of the summing amp would be to run all my tracks in groups as outputs that go into the inputs in the amp.   In that situation I would just monitor off the stereo output of the summing mixer and record that onto a new audio track when the mix is finished then master that file in a new session.    in that situation it wouldn't matter what the latency was because nothing needs to play concurrently with the mix,  its the entire mix all into the summing unit so everything is delayed together.

The thing I want to use it for is, say,  if I want to use it as a mix side-car,  and run all drum tracks through it and then bring back the stereo output of that mix into the session and still have it match up exactly where it would be without the I/O latency from going out of the interface, into the mixer, and back into the inputs of the interface.

If you use the Pipeline plugin to send and return the signals to your summing mixer you can adjust the timing if it doesn't automatically do it for you when you "Ping" the hardware send and return path from the Pipeline user interface.
