From the manual:

• Key Filter: This knob adjusts the frequency at which the gate opens. Setting a specific frequency, in addition to a specific decibel level, provides more sonic shaping. The key filter can be triggered by the selected channel or bus’s signal or by sidechaining a channel and using its signal as the source. 

I'm trying to use another source as a signal to trigger fat channel's gate (I want to use fat channel) but it doesn't seem to be possible to use it with sidechain despite what the manual says.

Am I missing something?

Hi,

We have forwarded your observation about thist to our Quality Assurance team as it appears to be incorrect information in the reference manual as the Studio One version of the FCXT has no side-chain input.
