Ok here it is... I like to use the fx chains but sorting, organizing and updating drives me crazy. I try to describe some scenarios to get it a little bit clearer.

1. fx chains can not be stored directly to folders.
2. drag&drop of an fx chain is not possible with the S1 browser so you have to right click and than open finder or explorer. Than you can create custom folders and move presets in there.
3. it's not getting updated automatically in the S1 browser you have to hit "update" manually. Even if you close Studio One and re-open it, it doesn't scan the fx chains folder for updates. I have my fx chains in a shared cloud folder to synchronize the settings between my mac book and my PC and it's easy to forget the manual update after working a long time on one system.
4. if you rename a fx chain inside the S1 browser which is in a folder the chain is moved inside the browser to the top level but stays in the folder on the hard drive. Update doesn't work here, it changes nothing. You have to move the fx chain multipreset from the folder to the top level, than hit update, than move it back to the folder and than hit update again, just for renaming.
5. if a fx chain with the same name already exists, than the new chain will be renamed by adding (1) but this is a global search looking on all chains not depending in which folder they are. That's not a major thing as long as you don't want to rename them after moving them to a new folder.

I would really love to see if this section of Studio One gets some love and work in the future. :)
Thanks for your work!

Wow! I couldn't figure out why my FX Chain from the Presonus Blog wasn't showing up. I finally found your article and realized I needed to see if I could refresh the folder from the browser :-). I'm used to effects being rescanned when you start S1 so I would never have figured this out without your help. I voted for your request! Thanks.
