Announcement
Progression for iPad and iOS11
As of Wednesday September 6th 2017, Progression for iPad will no longer be available for sale in the Apple App Store. Support for Progression for iPad will also cease on this date. This is in advance of the release of Apple’s annual update to its mobile operating system, iOS11, which removes support for 32-bit applications.
Customers currently using Progression for iPad should be advised that the app will not run on iOS11. So, before you update to iOS11, a few notes…:
- Back up your Progression files off the iPad (either email them individually, or connect your iPad to a computer and use iTunes to copy all the files in one go)
- Progression files (.prog) can be opened in Notion iOS (iPad/iPhone). Notion iOS contains all the features found in Progression for iPad, and can be found in the App Store here:

- Progression files (.prog) can also be opened in Notion 6 for Mac and Windows, available here:

- If you don’t wish to use Notion, you can export directly from Progression for iPad as a MusicXML file. This XML file can then be imported into most popular notation programmes.
Please note, this announcement is only in regard to Progression for iPad. Notion iOS is unaffected and will run on iOS11.
