can i plug a bass directly into my presonus firestudio mobile, just like i do with a guitar, without damaging anything?

i record with my guitar plugged directly into my firestudio interface.  i want to add a bassist to my recording.  can he plug directly as well without damaging speakers or interface?  thanks
