Does the MIDI connection work like a interface MIDI on RM 32 AI?

can we connect midi controller for example (if the RM 32 AI is connected tot a computer by firewire) to control ableton or superior drummer or everything else?

in fact are the midi connectors a MIDI interface?

No. The MIDI Ports may be enabled to allow for remote control of the mixer, not as a MIDI Interface to control synthesizers.
