Trojan in Presonus Installer

When installing the latest version of Studio One 3 my virusscanner (NOD32) gave a warning:

Win32/Filecoder.Cerber.D trojan found in C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Studio One 3\Uninstall.exe (cleaned by removal)

file modified by C:\Users\Bert\Downloads\PreSonus Studio One 3 Installer (x64) 3.5.4.45392.exe

After that, I downloaded the latest installer by hand and did a manual check with virusscanner: same result.

Is this a false positive?

regards,

Bert

Hi,

Yes, if you got it from the Presonus server it's a false positive.

I do not have an answer but am getting the same problem, only inWin  64 bit installer.  Since it deletes the uninstall part of  program, there is no way I can run it to install my product.

me too. When installing in Win7 64bit, Eset flagged and removed filecoder. I clean installed Win 10 64 bit, then clean installed ESET with most updated version, then installed Studio One 3 - Eset flagged filecoder as part of the Studio One Installer package, and deleted filecoder.

So that's good, I guess, but why is it part of the package or a "false" positive? Anyone else seeing this issue?
