Multimedia keys not working while being in Studio One

Hi,

I have a Logitech keyboard on my Windows 7 PC which has Multimedia keys.

With these keys you can turn up or down the volume, stop, play, switch track.

They always work, but as soon as I am in Studio One, they stop working.

For stop and play it's no problem, but I really wish I could change the volume with these keys.

It seems Studio One blocks them somehow.

Any way to fix this?

Multimedia keys change the volume of the audio driver for Windows (see WDM driver). They do not change the ASIO driver volume. The volume is changed in the background for the WDM driver but your playback in Studio One will most likely come from ASIO. To test: play a track in Studio One and a Youtube video at the same time and change the volume on your keyboard. The changes will affect the youtube video, not your Studio One song.

Hi and thank you for your answer.

I have to disagree, though.

When Studio One is running but not an active window, the volume wheel controls the volume of the Studio One playback.

I tried it several times, and it always worked.

(It is even enough just to click on the windows taskbar, so S1 doesn't even need to be minized)

P.S: I don't use ASIO, I use the Creative SBZ series ASIO driver; not the default Windows audio driver.
