When recording my studio one V3 artist, and using Universal Control, it records fine for a while and then randomly at different times every time it will stop recording and then it erases what I have recorded and then records from the beginning again and will continue until doing the same thing and I have set the recording time higher to ten minutes but it will do this way before the ten minutes are up. I have the presonus AudioBox usb96 and my computer is an HP 15 notebook pc with an Intel Celeron cpu 4 gb ram and 64 bit operating system w/ Windows 10 home, is it that my computer. Do you think it is that my computer maybe to cheap? Or might I need an external drive? Or both?  Can you help me with this? Thx

The problem is that your computer is not powerful enough to handle realtime audio.

The HP 15 does not meet minimum system requirements for using Studio One.

https://www.presonus.com/products/Studio-One/tech-specs

  • Windows 7 x64/x86 SP1 + platform update, Windows 8.1 x64/x86, Windows 10 x64/x86
  • Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD® Athlon X2 processor
(Intel Core i3 or AMD Athlon X4 or better recommended)

Celeron is one step below a Pentium 4, or more like an Atom processor found in Netbooks.

Invest in a more capable system and you'll be able to record properly. See the computers over at http://www.pcaudiolabs.com for systems built for audio recording.
