Question

Hey.  My HP2 headphone preamp seems to be distorting at very low level gain.  The signal being sent to the unit is peaking at -6dBfs in my DAW, with no further gain attenuation until it reaches the unit.  Recordings into the DAW are crisp and clear but the same signal is being distorted in the headphones when the amp gain is at 10 o'clock or lower.  Testing in different environments confirm that it is the headphone amp creating the distortion.  Is this a common problem? Is this a correctable problem?

I found the same problem with my 737.  Turned out I was running through 2 preamps at the same time.   Distortion at really low levels.  Hope that helps.
