Why does Studio One 3 (Pro) crash when I drag Auto-Tune 8.1 (VST3) from the browser to a track on the mix board?

I'm using Studio One 3.5.244603 Win x64 on my computer. It runs great and recording isn't a problem. When it boots up, I can see it loading all add-ons such as plugins (both VST2 and VST3).

The specific plug-in in question that's giving me a hard time is Auto-Tune 8.1. I see it in the Effects Folder in the Browse panel on the right hand side. When I try dragging it into the mix board onto any track, the program freezes and almost immediately crashes.

I have no problem using this VST in some of the Adobe Premier and Adobe Audition, so I don't think the plugin is the problem.

Could it be that I need to download and install the "VST and AU and Rewire Support" add-on? The product's page notes "you already own this product or feature if you're a Studio One 3 Professional", which I am. So why does that page indicate that I'd still have to pay "100.58 CAD" for the add-on? Shouldn't it be free for me since I'm using Pro?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hello,

We only see Studio One 3 Artist without the plugin support add-on in your user account so if you own Professional it's not in this account and Artist won't load Waves plugins without the add-on.

If you do own Professional please make a support ticket from the user account where your Studio One 3 Professional product is located so that a support agent can assist you.
