I own Studio One Artist and am demoing Pro due to the current upgrade pricing. Does anyone know how to handle MIDI triggered effects? The information I found regarding routing for MIDI-triggered effects did not seem applicable to my situation so I figured I'd ask here.
The two plugins I tested were unable to receive MIDI notes from Studio One to retrigger their envelopes. Tested with AIR Music Tech's "Pumper" and Nicky Romero's "Kickstart" (basically amplitude envelopes triggered by midi notes) the following way:
1. Create Instrument track, add Instrument I want to effect such as Mojito.
2. Add MIDI-triggered effect as an Insert on the Instrument track
3. Set the MIDI-triggered effects to "Retrigger" and "Receive from Host" in Kickstart and "By MIDI" in AIR Pumper.
Does S1 pass MIDI data from an Instrument track down the line to inserts in this way or is there a different way I have to be doing it?
