At risk of exposing my complete idiocy when it comes to recording: How can i adjust recording levels in Studio one?

I am using the Audiobox USB + Studio one and i enter via my H&Kettner Grandmeister 40.

The problem i have is that the recording level is though the roof no matter what i do. I turned the audiobox "main" control knob to -80 already and the knob in studio on on the track to -120 but i still cant even play softly without getting an overload of hell when i use a distorted preset on my amp.

Hi Johannes,

you need to provide a little more information: how did you connect your amp to your interface? I hope you didn't connect your speaker out into your interface. That signal is way too hot. Use an XLR cable from your DI out into your interface. Set the preamp level to minimum and you should be good to go.
