I am looking for a good laptop, preferably a 2 in 1, that has TB3 and will work well with my SL16.4.2ai to run capture and studio one. I just tried and ended up returning an ASUS 2 in 1 i7 laptop w/ TB3 because it didn't seem to run wel and the recording quality was scratchy and it couldn't always communicate w/ the mixer. I have the recommended StarTech TB3 to TB2 adaptaer then connected to the Apple TB to FW800 adapter.

I'm looking at Lenovo 2 in 1's and wondering if they will work or if anyone has any recommendations. I hate MAC so please don't recommend Mac even though I know they work well and many love them :)

Testing for Thunderbolt certification showed us the best experience at the present time for Thunderbolt is on a Mac.

If you need Windows, then buy the Mac and put bootcamp on it and run a dual platform.

Thunderbolt 3 on the Windows platform will get better as motherboard vendors support it more after Intel releases Thunderbolt 3 to the world later this year. Up until now companies have had to pay a royalty to use it on their platforms. Read more by searching for it online: https://newsroom.intel.com/editorials/envision-world-thunderbolt-3-everywhere/
