Question

I upgraded from an ********* Q802USB to a Presonus AR8. I was using Audacity and that worked well for me, but it doesn't do well with the new mixer. I tried Studio One but it is a little much for me. Would Capture or another program be a little more user friendly?

The StudioLive AR Mixers Windows drivers feature a LoopBack function in the UC Control Panel has a Virtual Return that you can use to record into any DAW. 

You will need to use a multi-channel recording program. Studio One is by far the easiest to use of all the DAWs in our opinion, spend some time watching the tutorials on our knowledge base to get a feel for it so you can get up and running easily. 

Consider posting in the Presonus user forums for more interaction with others do get more community support for what you are trying to do.
